Union minister calls Cong ‘anti-Dalit’
Union Cabinet minister and Haryana election incharge Dharmendra Pradhan today claimed the Congress party was anti-Dalit and wanted to do away with reservation, given the chance.
Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada, was in Panchkula when he also paid a visit to Mata Mansa Devi temple on Wednesday.
The party later organised a roadshow from Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3 to its election office in Sector 14. The roadshow left the road completely jammed as BJP workers, carrying banners and flags gathered in numbers.
Pradhan said Congress was an ‘anti-Dalit party’. “They lied about reservation during the Parliamentary elections and stated that the BJP wanted to abolish reservation. But in reality, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated Congress would abolish reservation as soon as it got the chance,” he said. He added that the BJP was with the poor people and would not let anyone change it.
He said Congress leaders were engaging in manipulation in Haryana. “The party’s sankalp patra is a document of lies. After Telangana, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh, the Congress party has brought its lies to Haryana,” he alleged.
Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada said the Congress party did not do what it said it would. “Congress’ promises are never going to be fulfilled. The BJP will fulfill its assurances in five years,” he added.
BJP leader Jitin Prasada, who was part of the roadshow, later during a convention with members of the Brahmin community said the support of the Brahmin community would ensure the party's a victory by a margin of over 30,000 votes.
