Two firms donate 25 oxygen concentrators to Mohali administration

Under the Corporate Social Responsibility scheme, Swaraj Tractors and the TPI North donated 15 and 10 oxygen concentrators, respectively, to the district administration today.
Appreciating the help and support rendered by Swaraj Tractors and the TPI North, Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said there had been an immense support by the corporate sector in the fight against corona. He said the second wave of Covid-19 had been unprecedented and had shown that oxygen therapy was very useful in safeguarding patients’ health. The administration is immensely grateful to all those who have donated oxygen concentrators, he added.
Arun Raghav, who heads the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of Swaraj Tractors, said these oxygen concentrators of 10-litre capacity would augment the care being given at the Covid centres.
Also, under the scheme of the company, the management of Tube Products of India – Mohali and Rajpura (units of Tube Investments of India Ltd) have donated 10 oxygen concentrator of 5-litre capacity to the district administration.
Shivdeep Singh Jammu, Business Head of TPI North, said 10 oxygen concentrators had been provided to the administration to extend the support to the underprivileged persons of society. He assured of such practice/support to the district administration as per the requirement.
