Three injured in stabbing, assault incidents in city
Three persons were injured in stabbing and assault incidents reported from different parts of the city.
A stabbing incident was reported from Dhanas. Complainant Rahul, a resident of EWS Colony, alleged that Dharminder, alias Billa, who resided in his locality, attacked him with a sword near the government school, leaving him seriously injured. The suspect then escaped from the spot.
The police reached the spot on getting information about the incident. The victim was rushed to Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16, from where he was later referred to the PGI.
A case was registered at the Sarangpur police station and an investigation initiated into it.
In another incident, a woman resident of Ram Darbar alleged that Deepak, Vivek, Sagar, Kancha, Ankush, Kallu, Kaka and others attacked her uncle, Naresh Kumar, with rods and sticks.
Naresh sustained injuries and was admitted to the GMCH in Sector 32. A case has been registered at the Sector 31 police station.
Another incident was reported from the Ram Darbar area. A local resident was stabbed with a knife. Complainant Dheeraj Kumar alleged that he was attacked by Vinit near his house. The complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to the GMCH.
