Two booked for police job fraud
Chandigarh: Two persons have been booked for fraud. In a complaint to the police, Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Ambala Cantt, stated that Ashish Khushwah, Neeraj Kumar, and others allegedly duped him of Rs 15 lakh. The suspects had promised a job for his son in the Chandigarh Police, but failed to deliver. A cheating case has been registered. — TNS
Mobile phone stolen from shop
Chandigarh: An unidentified person has been booked for stealing a mobile phone. Malkit Singh of Saini Vihar, Baltana, reported that his phone was stolen from a shop in Sector 22-B on October 21. A case has been registered at the Sector 17 police station. — TNS
Army Institute of Law holds seminar
Mohali: The Army Institute of Law, Mohali, hosted a seminar on ‘Modern Constitutionalism: Evolving Principles and Contemporary Challenges’ on Saturday.
