Three held for murder

Three suspects have been arrested for the murder of a 25-year-old youth at Khuda Jassu. Rishab of Nayagaon was attacked by a group of assailants with a knife on November 1. A murder convict, he was recently released from jail and had been getting life threats. The murder was a fallout of gang rivalry.

The police had registered a case at the Sarangpur police station. During investigation, suspects Anna (26) of Jhampur, Mohali; Pankaj (25) of Sector 25 and Nakul, alias Mithus (20), a resident of Sector 38 (West), were arrested.

Rishab was involved in a murder case filed at the Nayagaon police station a few years ago. Sources said the as associates of the victim harboured grudge against Rishab.
