A local court has sent two accused Akashdeep Singh and Amarjit Singh to three-day remand of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). They had been arrested in a grenade attack on a house in Sector 10, Chandigarh. The NIA had sought the remand of the accused to investigate international links of the accused in the case.
A grenade exploded in the lawn area of a house in Sector 10 Chandigarh on September 11. During the investigation, the police had arrested an auto driver, Kuldeep Kumar, who allegedly carried the accused who threw the grenade. Later, four more accused Rohan Masih, Vishal Masih, Amarjeet and Aakashdeep were arrested.
