To celebrate tradition and instill the value of cleanliness in the community, the Municipal Corporation (MC) organised a zero-waste Swachh Kanjak Pooja that marked the completion of Navratras with the Kanya Pooja ritual on Maha Navami at Shahpur Colony near Sector 38 West, Chandigarh.

Mayor Kuldeep Kumar, along with MC councillor Damanpreet Singh and other officials, served prasad to over 500 children during the Swachh Kanjak Pooja.

The mayor said, “The initiative not only honours our rich cultural traditions, but also teaches the importance of cleanliness and sustainability to our children. It is vital for the future of our community.”
