Sports notes: Roller skating meet from November 3
Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Roller Skating Association will organise the state championships from November 3 to 6, at the Sector 10 skating rink. Nearly 600 skaters will participate in the event. During the championship, players will be selected to represent the city in the forthcoming national roller skating championships. The interested players can confirm their entries online. TNS
PAG Audit Haryana beat AG UP
Chandigarh: In the North Zone IA&AD Badminton Championship 2025, held at New Delhi, Deepak Saxena of PAG Audit Haryana defeated Anurag Sharma of AG Uttar Pradesh 21-14 21-15 to win the men’s 50+ singles titles. In the men’s single 40+ final, Pankaj Naithani of PAG Audit Haryana beat Abhishek Agarwal of PAG Audit Uttrakhand 21-14 16-21 21-16. In the women’s singles 55+ Sargun Arora of PAG accounts Haryana beat Gayatri of Delhi 21-19,21-16. Tushar, Nazma Khan and Sumit Sharma of PAG Audit Haryana got silver medals in their events. Ravi also got a bronze medal in men’s singles. All medallists of zonal Championship will participate in All India Inter Audit Championships, to be held from November 19 to 23, at Guwahati . TNS

DAV College win overall c’ship
Chandigarh: Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Sector 36, won the overall championship of the Panjab University Inter College Judo Tournament. The college clinched the title by winning four gold medals and two silver medals, grabbing a total of 26 points. Kamini Yadav (48kg), Mehak Singh (52kg), Sania Rai (63kg) and Ishroop Narang (78kg) won medals. Navroop Kaur and Tamanna won silver medals in 57kg and +78kg weight category, respectively. TNS
