Vehicle owners with a significant number of pending challans were contacted by the UT police and informed about the option to settle all their challans in a single court settlement.

During the National Lok Adalat held today, 15 vehicle owners appeared before the court for the disposal of their outstanding challans. The court processed 706 traffic challans associated with these vehicles and imposed a total fine of ~1,33,800.

Under this single settlement/disposal initiative, an individual settled 132 pending challans by paying a fine of Rs 26,100.

Residents with multiple pending challans are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by visiting the Challaning Branch at the Traffic Lines, Sector 29, to settle their dues in court.
