Chandigarh, July 10

In a recent cyber crime incident, a resident of Sector 29, Jagtar Singh, has been defrauded of Rs 51,000. Singh said while he was shopping online and about to make a payment, he unexpectedly received messages indicating that transaction of Rs 11,000 and Rs 40,000 had been made through his credit card. He further said he immediately got the credit card blocked.

Despite not sharing his bank information or OTP with anyone, the fraudsters managed to carry out the transaction. “I didn’t share any information with someone, still the fraud happened, which is surprising,” he added. He has filed a police complaint.
