Gillco International School, Mohali

The school organised a tree plantation drive in collaboration with the Income Tax Department, Mohali, under the Central Government’s initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’. The initiative aimed at increasing urban greenery, while raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. Students, faculty and department officials planted a variety of saplings on the school premises.

Yadavindra Public School, Mohali

Students of Class II presented a thematic assembly ‘Unity in Diversity’ that highlighted the diverse cultural heritage of India. The programme kicked off with a welcome note, followed by a prayer. Through a skit, dances and music performances based on various states, the young performers took the audience on an exhilarating journey across India. The assembly featured captivating performances like the Bihu, Bharatnatyam, Dandiya and Rouf, showcasing the traditional art forms of different states.

Shishu Niketan Sr Sec School, Chandigarh

The school’s annual function concluded. Ajay Chagti, Secretary of Chandigarh Administration, attended the event as the chief guest. Principal Amita Khorana addressed the students. Themed ‘India Unveiled 2024’, the function took the audience through the journey of India’s evolution from pre-independence to modern-day. The programme featured an array of cultural performances, including traditional dances, musical presentations, skits and an art exhibition. Students of classes X and XII were also awarded for their academic excellence. The annual report of the session was presented by Principal Harleen Bajwa, who highlighted the school’s achievements over the year.

Bhavan Vidyalaya Jr School, Chd

The school conducted a special assembly to mark Dasehra. The celebration highlighted this festival’s cultural heritage and significance. The assembly commenced with a presentation titled ‘Durga ke Nao Roop’, in which a student spoke about the nine avatars of Goddess Durga and their spiritual significance. Adding to the festive spirit, a touching poem on Dasehra was recited. The highlight of the assembly was a performance by the students of Class I, who enacted a choreographed ‘Laghu Ramayan’.

Kids ‘R’ Kids Secondary School, CHD

The Kindergarten Wing of the school marked Dasehra with a vibrant celebration. Students of the pre-primary wing and Class 1 delighted the audience by depicting key scenes from the epic Ramayana, showcasing the timeless values of good triumphing over evil. Dressed in colorful costumes, the young performers brought to life characters. The event concluded with an enthusiastic applause.

Sanawar Montessori School, CHD

To mark the victory of good over evil, Dasehra was celebrated at the school with spirit and devotion. Students came dressed up as the various characters of Ramayana. They enacted scenes, mesmerising the audience with their performance.
