Tribune School, Chandigarh

The school hosted an informative disaster safety workshop aimed at equipping students with the essential skills and knowledge to stay safe during emergencies. Three officers from the Fire Department informed students about the different types of natural and man-made disasters and their potential impacts. They also trained the students in developing and practicing evacuation plans for various emergencies, including earthquakes, floods and fires. They also taught them basic first aid techniques and how to assemble an emergency kit. The students were apprised about the importance of communication and how to stay alert during disasters.

The school celebrated Janamashtmi with enthusiasm. Nursery students dressed up as Radha and Krishna and presented a captivating dance performance.

The pre-primary wing of the school celebrated Janmashtami with enthusiasm. This year’s festivities were a delightful spectacle of tradition and joy as the students donned traditional attire, embodying the divine personas of Radha and Krishna. Teachers organised engaging activities, including storytelling sessions about the life of Krishna and the significance of the festival of Janmashtami.

Paragon School, Mohali

In an initiative, encompassing the mandates of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the school organised ‘Blaze to Chase -2024’ an event aimed at igniting the future of entrepreneurship in which students of classes VI to XII from over 15 schools in the tricity area participated. Infant Jesus Convent School’s team ‘Visionary Ventures’, ‘Eco-Wash’ from Learning Paths School and ‘Incredibles’ from Mata Sahib Kaur Public School claimed the top three positions.

Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr Sec school

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Study Circle conducted Gurmat exam at the school with the support of Chandigarh Gurdwara Asthapan Committee. A total of 58 winners were honoured by the circle. Among the winning students, Jashanpreet Kaur was given a bicycle through a lucky draw. The study circle members Bhupinder Singh, Daljit Singh, Paramjit Singh and Sarabjeet Singh encouraged the students to work hard in future exams and win even bigger prizes. They exhorted the children to stick to their faith. Acting principal Shalini Saxena appreciated the initiative-takers and thanked the dignitaries.
