School notes: Delhi Public School, Chandigarh

The annual prize distribution ceremony for classes 9 and 11 was held today. Additional Secretary of Agriculture and Medical Education and Research Rahul Gupta was the chief guest at the event, while Dr Mohit Singla and Dr Pooja Singla (dental practitioners of the tricity) were the guests of honour. The event featured a cultural programme by students of Class 9 titled ‘Loknritya-Virasat-e-Bharat’ along with folk dances from Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Punjab. The celebration provided a platform for students to showcase their inherent talents, fostering unity among them. Meritorious students from both classes were honoured by the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, the principal, Reema Dewan, emphasised the school’s commitment to the holistic and wholesome development of students and said that the school goes beyond academic excellence to shape well-rounded individuals.
