With a view to introduce young Bhavanites to the rich cultural legacy a neighbouring state, Himachal Pradesh, the school organised a cultural event, ‘Shobhla Himachal’ on campus. The event commenced by lighting the lamp of knowledge and wisdom by the revered guests. This was followed by the depiction of the rich cultural heritage, festivals, sports, cuisine and economic growth of Himachal through dances and songs, interwoven in a well-crafted narrative. The various art forms like pictures, paintings and local handicrafts showcased the culture of the state.

STEPPING STONES SCHOOL, Chd

The school, in association with Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, organised a blood donation camp on the school premises. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from many donors, including former students.

Shemrock School, Mohali

In collaboration with Rotary Classic, Chandigarh, and Indus Hospital, the school organised a successful blood donation camp on campus. The event aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of donating blood.

The Tribune School, Chandigarh

The school organised an enriching workshop for the educators, teaching the students of Kindergarten to Class 2. The session was led by the esteemed educationist, Ikwinder Singh. With over 30 years of experience in the field of early education, Ikwinder shared her vast knowledge on innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum design and creating engaging learning environments for young learners.

ASHIANA PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHANDIGARH

The Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration, in collaboration with Global Youth Federation and the school held an informative session on ‘Clean and Green Diwali’ for the students of classes VI-VIII. The keynote speaker of the event was Dr Nihal from the department. The session aimed at sensitizing the students about the harmful effects of fire crackers on the environment and health of residents.

Smart Wonders School, Mohali

The school hosted its much-awaited annual show for classes VI to VIII, centred around the theme of ‘Finding Nemo’. The event was a grand celebration of creativity, teamwork and talent, where students took the audience on an adventurous journey, inspired by the beloved animated movie. A key highlight of the event was that it was a musical show, featuring a captivating blend of enactment, dance and singing performances.

Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh

The school extended its transatlantic partnership with Webb School, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA as a part of the Rotary Exchange Programme. This fall a 12 member student’s delegation will embark on a 10-day exchange programme.

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Chandigarh

Students from the school visited the Sector 26 Police Station to celebrate National Police Commemoration Day. The initiative was designed to foster a sense of community and respect for law enforcement, allowing the students to understand the vital role police officers play in society.

‘Choose France tour’ concludes

The ‘Choose France Tour 2024’ concluded on Monday, marking a milestone in the series of education fairs across five major Indian cities. The event witnessed good response from students and their families eager to explore higher education opportunities in France. Organised by the French Embassy in India and Campus France, this tour brought together over 50 French universities and higher education institutions.

Education meet concludes

Chandigarh: ‘EduThon 4.0’ organised by TRINITi, powered by Chitkara University, concluded. Over 350 principals, school owners and education experts gathered to discuss the future of education, AI and robotics, making this the most impactful edition of the event to date. The day was filled with dynamic conversations, debates and networking, reinforcing the role of ‘EduThon’ as a pivotal platform for shaping the future of learning.

Business Incubator event on Oct 23

Mohali: A two-day flagship event of Technology Business Incubator (TBI), at Chandigarh University (CU), will be organised on the campus from October 23. The event will provide a platform to aspiring entrepreneurs and startups from CU to transform innovative ideas into successful ventures. Of the 124 feasible ideas selected from 4,738 registrations, 35 startups have been chosen for the first cohort of the Ignite 2024; which will have Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt and Shark Tank India judge.

Students excel at academics

Mohali: Students of the Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN) brought laurels to the institution with their excellent performance in the V semester examinations, conducted under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot. In BSc Nursing, Aman Afzal bagged the first position and secured 74.5 per cent, while Vishwajeet bagged the second position by securing 71.8 per cent. Indu bagged the third spot by with 70.9 per cent.
