DC Model School, Panchkula

The school organised an annual function, ‘Rishtey’, for the students of KG. The little ones mesmerised the audience with their portrayal of the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. A special segment was dedicated to the guru-shishya (teacher-student) bond, highlighting the respect and reverence that the relationship is built on.

The school started the celebration of their founder’s week. Participants enchanted the audience with a journey through the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’. The event featured vibrant dances and costumes, representing the rich diversity of global cultures. The annual sports meet of the school was organised for the students of classes V to XII. The school hosted an interfaith harmony symposium, promoting unity and dialogue among diverse faiths. The symposium featured insightful panel discussions, covering themes such as ‘The Dichotomies of Our Times and the Need for Interfaith Dialogue’, ‘Guru Nanak’s Philosophy of Peace, Harmony, and the Pursuit of Joy’, ‘All Faiths as Paths of Love and Compassion,’ and ‘Interfaith Harmony in the Armed Forces’. Colonel Daljeet Singh Cheema’s book, ‘101 Divine Thoughts of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’, was also launched.

St Soldiers, Mohali

‘Parivartan’, a dance drama, was presented by the toddlers of classes I and II of the school. Vega Sharma, resource person with CBSE and UT Administration, attended the event as the chief guest. The theme of the show effectively captured the transformative journey of India over the last century. The changes brought into the societal fabric due to industrialisation, modernisation, and urbanisation were dramatised by the budding actors.

Gian Jyoti Global School, Mohali

Celebrating the festival of Gurpurab, students of the school undertook a service initiative by distributing tube lights and bulbs to underprivileged families in their community. This gesture aimed at spreading light and hope, resonating with Guru Nanak Dev’s teachings on compassion, kindness, and service to humanity. The activity underscored the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but social service.

Aravali International School, Panchkula

The school organised ‘ARAVALITEQ 2.0’, an inter-school tech fest. The event was attended by 240 students from more than 23 schools, showcasing their skills in robotics, coding, digital design, and cyber security challenges. The event celebrated not only the winners but also the enthusiasm and spirit of every participant. The day concluded with an awards ceremony.

The school celebrated Children’s Day. The highlight of the event was a student dressed as Doraemon, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. Children received chocolates from their favourite cartoon character. Teachers organised games, music, and dance sessions, adding to the joy of the occasion. The event was a memorable experience for everyone, reminding them of the importance of joy.

The school celebrated Children’s Day with a series of activities. The highlight of the day was a surprise from the teachers, who showcased their talents through an energetic dance and a soulful song performance dedicated to the children. Classrooms buzzed with fun and laughter as engaging activities and games were organised for the children throughout the day.
