Bhavan Vidyalaya-33, Chandigarh

The Primary Wing of the school conducted its first-ever holistic development exhibition-cum-carnival, ‘Explora Palooza.’ RK Saboo, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra, attended the event along with Madhukar Malhotra, Secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Vineeta Arora and Director Education-cum-Senior Principal, among others. The event was an endeavour of the school to provide parents with a 360-degree perspective of the learning and exposure that their children acquired during the academic year in the school through an exhibition and an activity-cum-experiential learning-based carnival based on the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.

The school celebrated Constitution Day during the school assembly on Tuesday. A quiz competition based on the Indian Constitution was organised to test the knowledge of the school’s students. Dr Bharat, Associate Professor, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, and Legal Advisor, School Management Committee, was the chief guest at the event. He shared insights and perspectives on the importance of the Constitution of the country in the legal framework with the students.

Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur

The school hosted its annual sports day. Students were divided into various houses and were made to compete in sporting events, including track and field activities. Skating, taekwondo, and cricket drills were organised. The students were awarded medals during the closing ceremony.

Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh

The school observed Constitution Day on Tuesday by organising an engaging and informative special assembly, celebrating the adoption of the Constitution of the country. Students and teachers took a pledge to uphold the values of justice, equality, and fraternity. The highlight of the event was a short role-play presented by the students, wherein the participants enacted a scene depicting the importance and the history of the Indian Constitution and of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar.

DAV School, Mohali

The school organised an exhibition, ‘PRAYAS,’ based on the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, which emphasised experiential and project-based learning, creativity, innovation, multidisciplinary approaches, and the integration of environmental awareness with academics. Parents were thrilled to witness the innovative exhibits of the students and praised the efforts of both the students and teachers in making it possible. Principal Dr Rosy Sharma appreciated the effort of the students.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

A seven-day NSS camp concluded at the school. The event commenced with the singing of a bhajan and was followed by a Kathak performance by Mannat. Chief Guest Dr Arvind Dewadi, District NSS Officer, addressed the gathering. He emphasised the importance of community service and motivated the young volunteers to continue making a positive impact on society through selfless service.

Saint Soldier International School, Chd

As part of an ongoing International Youth Exchange Programme, the school participated in the Virtual Model United Nations (MUN) in Taiwan. Ishnoor Kaur won the best position paper award for her representation of India in her research paper, and Chhavi won the best inquirer award for her role as Slovakia’s delegate.

KB DAV-7, Chandigarh

The school celebrated the 75th year of the adoption of the Constitution of India by organising a special assembly. Various activities, including slogan writing, poster-making, quiz competitions, and pledge taking, were organised on the theme ‘Samvidhan’ for the students.

Blue Bird High School, Panchkula

A session on ‘Drug Abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace’ was organised on the school campus, Resource person Kulwinder Pal Kaur addressed the students of classes IX to XII and deliberated upon the growing menace of substance abuse among adolescents. The school principal extended the vote of thanks.

Satluj Public School, Panchkula

The school celebrated its 45th Annual Prize Distribution function, ‘Satluj Go-Getters 2024.’ The theme of this year’s annual function was ‘Bharat Samridham Dharoraham,’ and it was a showcase of the myriad talents and cultures of the country.

Gillco International School, Mohali

The school organised a session with Tarun Gupta, a global career counsellor from University of Caifornia, Los Angeles (UCLA) for an insightful career counselling session for the students of classes X, XI, and XII. The session was designed to equip the students with the knowledge and guidance they need to make informed and confident decisions about the careers.
