SAD releases 25-point manifesto

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) here today released a 25-point election manifesto in view of the Mohali Municipal Corporation elections to be held on February 14.
The manifesto was released by Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra, senior vice-president of the Shiromani Akali Dal, and Charanjit Singh Brar, District Assistant Observer.
The election manifesto released by the SAD covered 25 important works of the city, including launch of a project to make the city pole wire-free starting from one marla houses, underground power lines and permanent solution to the parking problem.
Responding to questions from the media, Prof Chandumajra said CCTV cameras would be installed in the MC area for the safety of citizens, especially women, and local area committees would be formed for development.
Other prominent works among others include an air-conditioned advanced hi-tech computer lab, bicycle tracks, public bicycle-sharing system, playway facilities, career counselling cell, parent committee to monitor school activities, launch of city bus service, complete underground gas pipeline project, mobile vans in every ward for collection of water and electricity bills and mobile health vans for senior citizens.
