Robotic contests: PU students win laurels
Students of the Society of Automotive Engineers, UIET, Panjab University, have secured victories in various inter-college competitions held in the city.
The robotics team achieved groundbreaking success at a recent competition hosted by the CCET, Chandigarh. The team emerged victorious, clinching the first position in robo soccer and secured second position in RC racing. Sudhanshu Rajput, Shreyvardhan Singh, Shouryavardhan Singh and Saksham Rathore, all pursuing BE degree at the UIET showed incredible teamwork and resilience. Their hard work and persistence paid off, as they positioned SAE, UIET (PU), as a formidable force in the tricity’s competitive robotics landscape.
In another remarkable achievement, the SAE, UIET, aerospace team excelled at PEC Chandigarh’s “Aqua Rocket” event. Competing in both vertical and horizontal categories, the team demonstrated a deep understanding of aerodynamics, achieving first place in the vertical category and second in the horizontal category. Despite numerous challenges and early setbacks, the team’s persistent dedication enabled them to design a precision-engineered water rocket.
The aerospace team included Vinayak Sharma, Sahil Minz, Saksham Rathore and Waquee Mubarak.
