Ambala City Magistrate Pooja Kumari today chaired a district-level Samadhan Shivir at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. She directed officials to resolve complaints on priority.
As many as eight complaints were received at the Samadhan Shivir. Of this, six were resolved on the spot.
Complaints related to old age, unmarried and divyang pensions, income verification in family ID, theft and drainage were received.
As per information, Rahul, a resident of Rattanheri village, and Aman, a resident of Sarsehri village, requested for income verification in the family ID, following which the City Magistrate directed officials to resolve their grievances.
In his complaint, Bittu, a resident of Jalbera village, said the Panchayat was constructing a street in front of his house, but no arrangement for drainage had been made.
The City Magistrate marked the complaint to the Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) concerned and directed the official to resolve the matter.
Pankaj Sharma of Ambala Cantonment raised the issue of theft, following which Pooja Kumari directed officials of the Sadar police station to take appropriate action.
The City Magistrate said: “Officials have been directed to resolve the complaints and grievances received during the Samadhan Shivir on a priority. Residents should take benefit of the shivir and get their complaints resolved.”
