Punjab farmer's daughter Palvi Rajput commissioned as Lieutenant
Palvi Rajput, an alumni of Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) for Girls, SAS Nagar (Mohali), has been commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army.
She completed her training at the Officer’s Training Academy in Chennai, on Saturday and participated in the passing out parade, which was overseen by Vice-Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM.
Lieutenant Palvi Rajput-- who was commissioned into the Artillery Regiment--is the daughter of Ravinder Singh, a farmer hailing from Pathankot district.
Congratulating Lieutenant Palvi Rajput on her remarkable achievement, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora expressed that her success would inspire more daughters of Punjab to consider careers in the defence services.
