PU research scholar gets PM Fellowship
Panjab University research scholar Dhriti Bragta has received the Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research Scheme, Anusandhan National Research Foundation, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (2024-25).
Researching under the supervision of Rajeev Kumar, Chairperson, Department of Environment Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Bragta is working on fungi and mycoremediation. She is the first candidate from the Department of Environment Studies to receive this prestigious fellowship.
Prof elected Associate Fellow
Prof Kashmir Singh, coordinator of Department of Science and Technology Centre for Policy Research, PU, has been elected as INSA Associate Fellow by the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi.
Prof Singh was inducted as Associate Fellow in the INSA anniversary general meeting at the SRM University, Chennai. He has been elected for his contribution in the field of plant biotechnology, especially in the area of metabolic engineering of medicinally important plants.
