Panchkula police awareness drive concludes
The Police Commissionerate on Thursday concluded its drives on women safety, cyber crime prevention and traffic rules awareness.
The main objective of the programmes was to make the citizens, especially women, students, drivers and the general public aware of safety measures and their rights.
A traffic awareness program was organised from November 29-30 under leadership of assistant commissioner of police (ACP, Traffic) Sukharpal Singh, during which a total of 85 drivers and transport operators participated.
On December 2-3, a cyber crime awareness programme was held under ACP Manpreet Singh Sudan and a total of 135 participants, including students, teachers and local traders were sensitised to prevention of online fraud.
Around 75 women, meanwhile, also attended the women safety awareness programme organised on December 4 and 5 in Nanakpur village and near the Panchkula Bus Stand, Sector 5.
Besides, a programme was organised to train traffic police personnel in Police Line Panchkula under the leadership of ACP Traffic Sukharpal Singh.
