Panchkula MC to issue tenders for roads repair, re-carpeting

Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, during a meeting with Municipal Corporation officials today, directed them to prepare tenders for the construction and re-carpeting of B and C roads in the city. He also issued directions for the immediate construction of community centres at Abhaypur village and Sector 19.

The mayor said tenders for roads in sectors 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and others in need of repair should be prepared for administrative approval at the earliest. He said the maintenance of toilets in the city was a long-standing issue, and a tender for the maintenance must be given soon.

Goyal said, “The tender for installing about 60 gantries has been allotted, and their installation will be started in the next two-three days.” The MC officials pointed out that about 90 per cent of the CCTV cameras in the city had been repaired, which would help prevent crime. They said the police had already started issuing challans to violators.
