The Department of Radiotherapy & Oncology, PGIMER, Chandigarh is organising a workshop on brachytherapy in collaboration with Indian Brachytherapy Society. This event is scheduled to be held on October 5 and 6 at the Lecture Theatre Complex, PGIMER.

The theme of the workshop is ‘Fundamentals in Brachytherapy- A Practical approach’. It aims to provide in-depth education and share valuable knowledge on basic brachytherapy concepts. The workshop is specifically designed for trainees and early career Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and Radiation Technologists.

The two-day interactive programme will consist of didactic lectures, video demonstrations and live planning sessions on Intracavitary, Interstitial, Intraluminal and Intravaginal brachytherapy across various sites. Aproximately 80 participants from across India have registered for the workshop.

The workshop has been accredited with 8 CME points from the Punjab Medical Council. Renowned national faculties from AIIMS New Delhi, TMC, Vizag and PGI, Chandigarh will be conducting this workshop. Prof S C Sharma, former Head, Department of Radiotherapy will be the chief guest.
