Municipal Corporation, which had planned to convert its old-age-home in Sector 27 into a rest house, will now run the property with its own staff within a week.

In August, a local court, in response to a petition, had ordered the MC to maintain status quo of the property. A city advocate, through a petition, had claimed that the MC was preparing to pass an agenda in its House for the conversion of the property.

During a meeting of the Finance and Contract Committee, the MC said it had submitted documents for approval of reserved price and RFP and added that the property will be made functional within a week.
