Panchkula: Devotees offer Rs 22.31 lakh at temples on last day of Navratri

Over 36,000 devotees paid obeisance at Mansa Devi , Kali Mata and Chandi temples on Thursday, the last day of the Navratri.

Dr Yash Garg, Chief Administrator and Deputy Commissioner of Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, said on October 10, devotees offered Rs 22.31 lakh at the Mata Mansa Devi, Kali Mata, Kalka, and Chandi temples. Out of these, Rs 17.28 lakh were offered at Mata Mansa Devi temple and Rs 4.97 lakh at the Kali Mata temple in Kalka.

Offerings of Rs 6,100 were received at Chandi Mata temple.

Meanwhile, 40 pieces of silver, weighing 526.35 gms, were offered at Mata Mansa Devi temple, 43 pieces of silver, weighing 131.3 gms, were offered at Kali Mata temple. A total of 83 pieces of silver were offered at both the temples.

Devotees have been visiting temples in numbers during the Navratri festival.

Meanwhile, adequate arrangements have also been made for the devotees by the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Pooja Sthal Board.

Special arrangements for food are being made separately for the devotees who observe fast during Navratri.
