Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta today directed the District Health Department to submit a detailed report regarding dengue patients in the district and carry out drives to remove stagnant water from residential areas in the city. During a meeting, the DC directed the Municipal Corporation to sanitise Budhanpur, Indira and Rajiv colonies through a special campaign. She was holding a meeting to check the spread of dengue in the district.

From a few dengue cases in June, the count of infected persons in the district has crossed the 1,250-mark. CMO Mukta Kumar said the number of dengue cases was high in the urban area of Panchkula as residents do not allow the Health Department teams to check their premises.

The DC directed the Municipal Corporation Panchkula to sanitise Budhanpur Colony, Indira Colony and Rajiv Colony every day through a special campaign.
