Chandigarh, July 8

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Central) has issued a new notice to Chandigarh Golf Range (CGA) in Sector 6 here for violations. The notice specifies that the CGA is liable to pay charges of Rs 6 per sq ft per day for the area under violations, which shall be paid every month or part thereof that the building violations occur.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
