Chandigarh, November 20
Chandigarh will play J&K at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here on the opening day of the North Zone Santosh Trophy on November 21. Services will start their campaign against Himachal Pradesh.
This is for the first time that Chandigarh Football Association (CFA) has been allotted the North Zone matches. Along with hosts Chandigarh, teams from Services, J&K, Himachal and Uttar Pradesh will vie for the top position.
“We have kept the players in a safe environment. Every player has undergone the Covid test… We have also sanitised every place, including the ground. The staff and officials have also been tested for Covid,” said CFA president KP Singh. — TNS
