A 34-year-old resident of Parvati Enclave, Kharar, hanged himself at his house after suffering Rs 50 lakh loss in a crypto-currency dealing.

The deceased, Raj Kumar, a native of Himachal Pradesh, had been depressed after suffering loss. He was an insurance agent and financier.

The victim hanged himself from the geyser in a bathroom this morning after dropping his daughter to school and two-year-old son at a creche. His wife had gone to market when he took the extreme step, the police said.
