Man, girl found dead in Mohali house

A 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old girl were found dead in a rented accommodation in Phase 1 today.

The deceased, Anas, a native of Saharanpur, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room, while Nidhi, a native of Chhapra, Bihar, was found lying on the floor. They had been living in Mohali for the past sometime and were employed with a private firm.

Police reportedly found suicide notes in the room in which both accused Manish of harassing the girl.

The police said the girl had come to meet Anas on Tuesday morning but when nobody opened the door, the house owner broke the door to find both dead. Two mobile phones have been recovered from the spot.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man was found hanging from the ceiling fan of a room in Mataur village today. The deceased, identified as Desraj, was employed as a labourer and lived with his wife.

A Raipur resident, Aftaab (30), was found dead in his room. Neighbours said the victim had gone to meet his relatives in Burail village. He returned at night and did not open the door next morning.
