Chandigarh, August 25

The police have arrested a 30-year-old man for robbing a Punjab native.

Sandeep Singh reported that his mother was admitted to the PGI. On August 17, he went to Sector 11 to purchase coconut and hired an auto on the way back. A passenger was already sitting in the auto.

The auto driver and his accomplice took the complainant towards Dhanas Lake and robbed him of Rs 20,000 and a mobile phone.

The police registered a case at the Sector 11 police station. During the investigation, accused Deepak, alias Kallu, a resident of Khuda Lahora village, was arrested.
