“It’s after two years that we could stage our play, and I wanted a fresh story. I got in touch with Dinesh Nair from Bhopal to write a story that brings out the pain of the Partition since the Production of Play is focused to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence,” shared Dr Navdeep Kaur, chairperson, Department of Indian Theatre, PU.

If set design and costumes reflects the period of 1947, Dr Navdeep shares how transporting students back to the times was the biggest challenge. While the plot moves ahead in the backdrop of a love story, a ‘faqir’ forewarns the grim times ahead.
