Host Hockey Chandigarh defeated Jammu and Kashmir 17-0 to log another stunning win during the ongoing 14th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship at the Sector 42 Sports Complex here today. Prince Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Fateh Singh and Misbah Khan scored two goals for the host team. Sukhmanpreet Singh, Soh Manrajdeep Singh, Sahil Duhan, Suraj Kumar, Indora Puneet and Amit Singh netted one goal each for the side.

Meanwhile, Hockey Punjab outplayed Manipur Hockey 7-0. Gurwinder Singh (9th) gave Punjab the early lead, followed by goals from Charanjeet Singh (10th), Mandeep Singh (23th), Amandeep (31st), Anuragh Singh (35th), Kushal Sharma (39th) and Uttkarsh (43th).

Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey defeated Hockey Gujarat 11-2. Pawan Yadav (8th, 29th), Anuj Singh (25th, 58th), Ritesh Pandey (36th, 48th) and Shubham Rajbhar (39th, 47th) had lucrative outings with two goals each while Mithlesh Singh (20th), Jitin (26th) and Mayank Kumar Yadav (60th) scored a goal each for Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey. Mahendra Bhatt (28th) and Tushal Sosa (56th) were the scorers for Hockey Gujarat. Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu defeated Goans Hockey by 9-2. Captain Sundarajith M (16th, 32nd) and Sugumar M (47th, 60th) were the top scorers of the game. However, Gowtham (17th), Athiban (41st), S Lakshmanan Sri (44th), Kamalesh K (49th) and Renjith (51st) found the back of the net too. Gourav C Shetty (20th) and Rakesh Yadav (55th) scored consolation goals for Goans Hockey.
