The Haryana Government today relieved IAS officer Mandip Singh Brar from the state government with immediate effect on his inter-cadre deputation from the Haryana cadre to the AGMUT cadre (Chandigarh segment) for a period of three years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date of his assumption of the charge.

Brar, a 2005-batch IAS officer, was appointed as the new Home Secretary of Chandigarh last month.

He is going to join the UT Administration tomorrow. Brar had earlier served as the city Deputy Commissioner from 2018 to 2021.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
