Haryana CM oath-taking ceremony likely on October 15
The oath-taking ceremony of the Haryana Government will be held at Panchkula’s Sector 5 Parade Ground. While the date and time have not yet been decided, October 15 is the tentative date for the event.
The state Police Department, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and district administration have started making preparations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the ceremony.
On Friday, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Alok Mittal and Police Commissioner Sibash Kabiraj reached the site and took stock of the security arrangements at the site. They were joined by other police officers, ADC Sachin Gupta and officials of the HSVP.
Officials in the police department said tight security arrangements were being made for the event. As per an official, as many as 2,500 personnel would be deployed at the site alone to ensure proper law-and-order during the programme.
Earlier on Friday morning, DC Yash Garg held a meeting regarding the ceremony. He visited Shalimar ground which was considered as one of the options for the event.
