As the sun set on the final day of the highly anticipated Global PGI Alumni Summit 2024, feelings of joy and nostalgia filled the air here at PGIMER today.

The day was packed with exciting sporting events that brought alumni together. An intense cricket match brought out friendly rivalries, while strategic chess games challenged many minds. Badminton courts came alive with laughter as participants, some playing after decades, rekindled old friendships. Table tennis matches added a playful spirit, contributing to the sense of community among the alumni.

A poignant moment occurred when Prof GD Puri, former Dean (Academics) at PGIMER, shared heartfelt memories from the same badminton court at Zakir Hall, where he played 30 years ago. His reflections reminded attendees of how deeply the experiences of campus life resonate within them. Prof Sadhna Lal exemplified competitive spirit as she teamed up with a friend for an exhilarating badminton showdown, reviving shared memories from 20 years ago.
