Freshers’ party at PU Chemical Engg Dept

A freshers’ party was organised for the 2024 batch students of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the SS Bhatnagar Auditorium, PU, marking the official welcome of the new batch of students. The auditorium was filled with excitement and anticipation as students, faculty and guests gathered to celebrate the freshers’ journey into the university.

The lamp lighting ceremony was done by Prof Anupama Thakur in the presence of all faculty members. The chief guest was Harit Nagpal, CEO of Tata Play and a proud alumnus of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology (batch of 1983). Nagpal then took the stage to felicitate the winners and also announced the names of Mr and Ms Fresher.

A ramp walk was also held where freshers showcased their style and confidence. It was followed by a talent round in which participants enthralled the audience with a diverse array of performances, including music, dance and poetry. The final round of the event featured an engaging questionnaire segment, where participants answered questions posed by the hosts.
