Mohali, July 3
With the surfacing of four more positive coronavirus cases, the total count has gone up to 2,843 in Mohali district.
The persons infected with the virus included a 52-year-old and 54-year-old male from Majat village, 50-year-old male from Dera Bassi and 43-year-old female and resident of Sector 104 near Saneta in Mohali district.
Divulging the details, Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh said that persons from Majat village had travel history as they had returned recently from Uttar Pradesh.
He said the third person from Dera Bassi was an ILI case. He said all the patients have been admitted to the Covid Care Centre at Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur.
Dr Manjit Singh said nine persons have been cured and discharged from the Gian Sagar Hospital.
These include 40 (M) and 56 (M) from Zirakpur, 50 (F) from Daffarpur, 65 (M) from Dera Bassi, 35 (M) from Peer Muchalla, 22 (M) from Togan, 45 (M) from Bhabat, 43 (M) from Sector 116 and 56 (M) from Kharar.
As of now there are 284 cases and out of these 212 have been cured and discharged from hospital. There are 68 active cases with four deaths in the district.
