Armed Forces Flag Day was celebrated today at the DAC in Mohali.

Group Captain Davinder Singh Dhillon (retd), District Defence Services Welfare Officer; and Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Superintendent, District Defence Services Welfare Office, pinned token flags on people.

The day marks countrymen honouring martyred soldiers injured ex-servicemen, helping the families.

The money collected on this day is used for the welfare of martyrs’ families.

The Armed Forces Flag Day fund collection was first started by ADCs Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke and Sonam Chaudhary.
