Cyber Cell cop booked for corruption

The police have booked a Sub-Inspector of the Cyber Cell in a corruption case. The case has been registered against SI Satish Kumar on a complaint filed by state cybercrime police officials.

The police said the district cybercrime officials were investigating a case registered earlier this month. They found the video recording of a Whatsapp phone call involving Satish and another individual Sudhir Ahlawat. The video was recovered from the mobile phone of one of the two cybercrime accused, Sonam and Sujal.

In the FIR, the police officials said the video recording contained discussions on prima facie demand for bribery on part of the policeman and the other individual.

The police have registered a case against the Sub-inspector under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
