Cops review security at Mohali court complex
Mohali, December 28
Senior police officials visited the Mohali court complex and reviewed security arrangements here this morning.
The police checked the functioning of CCTV cameras and identified new points where CCTV surveillance needs to be beefed up.
Officials reviewed the security arrangements at all five entry-exit points in the complex. Additional metal detectors have been placed at the two entry points.
Sources said additional police personnel had also been deployed at the court complex at sensitive locations. Instructions had been given to security check the vehicles entering the parking lot thoroughly.
Sohana SHO Kuljeet Singh said: “Security arrangement is being reviewed to strengthen technical and manpower aspects.”
The Mohali police have intensified checking in the district after the bomb blast at the court complex in Ludhiana recently. The police carried out a special checking drive in a shopping mall using sniffer dog squad and anti-sabotage team to comb the area. Special nakas are being installed at sensitive locations.
To maintain public safety and law and order in the city, the police are checking vehicles and markets at various locations. — TNS
