The police have arrested two youths for hitting a cop with their car when they were signalled to stop for checking near Kalka Chowk in Zirakpur last evening.

An injured ASI Amarjit Singh was rushed to a Dhakoli hospital. The car-borne youths were arrested after a chase near Baltana. They have been identified as Piyush of Sector 21, Panchkula; and Balwinder Singh of Sector 14. They have been booked for reckless driving, endangering the life of others and obstructing a public servant.
