Mohali, February 16

Commuters and visitors to a private hospital are a harried lot as the road passing through the hospital and Vikas Bhawan in Sector 62 has been partially blocked by rope fencing on the one side and vehicles parked on the other side. Because of this, only a lane is left for commuters on each side.

Fortis Hospital authorities said: “The Mohali traffic police had issued a notice regarding illegal parking of vehicles outside the entrance to the hospital following which the rope fencing was done.”

DSP (Traffic) Guriqbal Singh said: “I was busy on election duty for the past one week so I was unaware of the exact situation. We will ensure that road users are not inconvenienced due to illegal parking.”
