To deliver citizen services as per the timeline prescribed in Right To Services Act and avoid undue harassment of applicants, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has brought down the backlog of citizen-centric services in various branches.

To cross-check that the applicants were getting their applications disposed in a satisfactory manner, Additional Chief Administrator, GMADA, has been assigned the responsibility of monitoring the backlog.

The Chief Administrator, GMADA, revealed that sincere efforts were made by officials concerned to deliver the services to the citizens in a seamless and time-bound manner simultaneously ensuring that the disposal of the applications was to the satisfaction of the applicants. While the backlog was once brought down to zero last week, the officials have been instructed to keep up the momentum and do not let the count of pending cases increase considerably in any case, he said.
