Deceased’s father Jai Kumar said his son had been driving a taxi from last three to four months. Kumar said on Friday night, Ravi told him that he had got a ride from Chandigarh to Ludhiana and was going to drop the passengers.
“Early this morning, I got a call from my son who said he was shot dead by someone and is going to die. He also sent his location on my mobile following which I informed the police and we also reached Samrala.
“My son had no enmity with anyone. It could be the handiwork of some criminals who killed him. We want justice,” said Ravi’s father.
The DSP said teams have got some clues about the attackers and they would be traced soon.
