CHANDIGARH MC ELECTIONS: Bansal campaigns for city Congress chief's son
Chandigarh, December 15
Former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal today joined the campaign of Sumit Chawla, the Congress Candidate from Ward No. 14 in Dhanas village and the adjoining colonies. Chawla is the son of city Congress president Subhash Chawla.
Bansal said all houses situated outside lal dora in villages would be given all facilities. The Congress would ensure that a separate budget be passed for villages so that their needs were adequately addressed.
Earlier at a press conference, Bansal said the only work the BJP did in the past six years was to bring the city to 66th position from no. 1 place in Swachh Survekshan.
He said, “The city has witnessed a massive downfall in every field during the BJP rule such as poor conditions of roads, pavements and parks.”
“Piles of garbage, roads in bad shape, residents being crushed under the burden of various taxes, the city’s famous locations being turned into protest zones, thanks to the anti-farmer mindset of the BJP. People from all walks of life are forced to face the heat of the BJP misrule,” he alleged. — TNS
