Mayor Kuldeep Kumar today visited Kajheri village and Sector 52 under “Mayor Aapke Dwar” programme to reach out to residents and hear their grievances related to the Municipal Corporation (MC).

The Mayor took a round of the village, along with area councillor Lakhbir Singh and senior MC officials. Representatives from various area-level federations, resident welfare associations and locals were present during the visit.

The Mayor said the MC would make proper arrangements to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach beneficiaries.

During the visit, the Mayor asked the engineers concerned of the Public Health wing to prepare estimates for strengthening storm water drainage system at Kajheri village and resolve the issue of overflowing sewerage. The Mayor asked the officials concerned to maintain cleanliness in surroundings of the village and place “No litter” signage at appropriate places.

He asked the Executive Engineer of B&R wing to take up the rest part of Phirni road of Kajheri village for upgrade and prepare an estimate for the same before the ensuing General House meeting.

The locals raised their grievances, including door-to-door waste collection, pruning of trees, providing of paver blocks, maintenance of parks, recarpeting of internal roads and haphazard parking of vehicles, in the area. The officials concerned noted down the complaints and assured the citizens of an early solution.
