Chandigarh, August 13

The District Bar Association (DBA), Chandigarh, has decided to resume work from tomorrow. Rohit Khullar, president of the DBA, stated that the association has decided to end the strike after a meeting with Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria.

He said Kataria assured the delegation of advocates that the Administration would consider all objections raised by the association and convey it to the Centre also.

DBA members had not been attending the courts for the past over 20 days in protest against the new Tenancy Act, which they stated was framed without consulting them. — TNS
