Chitkara University hosted the 17th Annual International Accreditation Conference under the banner of the Standards for Educational Advancement and Accreditation (SEAA) Trust. The theme for the two-day event was “Building Socially Impactful Leaders for an ESG-Led World.” SEAA Trust chairman A Thothathri Raman stressed the urgency of integrating ESG principles into higher education.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges

A five-day faculty development programme was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, CGC-Landran, in association with E&ICT Academy, Centre for Development of Advance Computing, Mohali. The theme of the programme was “Transforming Teaching-Strategies for Digital Learning and Content Development”. The event was attended by more than 100 faculty members from CGC.

Aryans Nursing Institute

With the aim to encourage everyone to eliminate the disparities and inequities that create barriers to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) testing, prevention, and access to HIV care, Aryans Institute of Nursing organised a seminar on World’s AIDS Day on the theme “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right”. All faculty members and students wore a red ribbon and participated in various competitions — a rally, debate, speech and a poster presentation competition.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali, organised CreatiVelo-2024, dedicated to nurture creativity, innovation, and sustainability. The event saw the participation of over 400 students from 12 prestigious universities, providing a platform for showcasing ingenuity and addressing critical global challenges such as SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Sector 26, organised a conclave for promoting internationalisation in resonance with the objective of NEP-2020 to internationalise India’s education system.

Dr Janaki Srinivasan, Assistant Professor (Political Science), Panjab University, presented her lecture on “Beyond the Predator-Victim Binary: The Role of Men in Combating Violence Against Women”.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Chandigarh, celebrated National Law Day with a series of activities aimed at empowering law students and fostering a deeper understanding of the legal profession. The event kicked off with an insightful keynote session delivered by Nitin Potdar, a corporate lawyer with expertise in mergers and acquisitions. Potdar’s session, titled “Challenges & Opportunities for Law Students”, provided valuable career guidance and practical insights into navigating the legal profession.
